Tsinghua University has just released its 2026 international undergraduate admissions brochure. Today, DiyApply breaks down the key information from four aspects: eligibility, required documents, language requirements, and application process, to help you prepare better in this competitive environment.

1️⃣ Eligibility Requirements
📄 Foreign citizens in good health with a friendly attitude towards Chinese culture;
🎓 Hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification;

2️⃣ Application Timeline
Round 1: September 30, 2025 – November 28, 2025 → Results: January 2026
Round 2: 8:00, November 29, 2025 – February 28, 2026 → Results: Early May 2026

3️⃣ Required Documents & Academic Records
Applicants must provide:
✅ High school transcript (or university transcript if applicable);
✅ Graduation examination/university entrance qualification certificate;
✅ International standardized test scores (SAT/ACT/A-Level/IB/CSCA, etc.);
✅ Supplementary materials (research, competitions, extracurricular activities, etc.).

While these documents may seem standard, how you select, present, and combine them often determines whether you stand out. Many students have similar backgrounds, but it’s the details that impress admissions officers.

4️⃣ Language Requirements
📘 English-taught programs:
Only English test scores (TOEFL/IELTS, etc.) required; no Chinese proficiency needed.
📗 Bilingual (Chinese-English) programs:
HSK Level 4 (with each subject ≥60 points) is the standard (must pass HSK Level 5 within the first year of enrollment).
Tsinghua values both language and academic capabilities – not just speaking ability, but also using language to demonstrate thinking and logic.

5️⃣ Evaluation Process
The application process consists of two stages:
1️⃣ Initial document review: Tsinghua evaluates complete applications that meet requirements;
2️⃣ Comprehensive assessment: Applicants who pass the initial review are invited for further evaluation.
Art/Design/Architecture programs require a portfolio.
